Our Story
Indelicate Pit Bull Rescue ran a sub-branch in Cape Town for 3 years under Gudwulf's Pit Bull Rescue JHB (Registered as an NPC in 2016) We then, in Dec 2021, decided to break away and go on our own. Our Cape Town branch Born 26 March 2019 We take in abused, neglected, and confiscated Pit Bulls. We heal the broken and injured and then find them suitable forever homes. We also focus on educating the public on good, responsible dog ownership, focusing on different breed-specific traits and how to guide dogs through their short life journeys.
Education is key in successful human and dog co-habitation. Driven animal reactive Pits, Amstaffs and other Bull breeds take far longer to find suitable homes than any other breed. Our aim is to be able to soon own land and to create a facility that does not have cages, but a facility that is a home environment. Where each dog will have a “wendy-house” with heat lamps in winter and a little pool for summer. Each dog should have their very own piece of grass. Pit Bulls can wait up to 5 years, in the rescue system, to find a suitable home. They deserve to spend their waiting period in a comfortable, non-caged environment. We can only achieve this very big goal with the help of people out there. To see the work that we do, you can visit our Facebook Page for day-to-day happenings at Indelicate.
Donations: (food, food bowls, water bowls, cleaning chemicals, tick and flea treatment) will result in us being able to give the dogs, that spend a few years of their lives in our care, a home environment and to make sure they have all the comforts that they would have in a family home. It will assist us in taking in more Pit Bulls and Pit type dogs, as there currently is a very big void in the Pit Bull rescue scene. There are far too many of these dogs in need and normal rescue facilities simply can't safely keep the breed. The situation is dire.
